No, they’re not quite the flagships that we’re seeing from Acer’s competitors, but they’re a couple of new options that will cater to different markets.Acer’s new budget smartphone offering has the potential to knock the Motorola Moto G off the top spot with impressive specs but a low price tag.

The phone is packed with 64 bit of processor and LTE, all the companies are showing a great interest in the launch of the LTE phone.The phone is really beautiful, premium feeling indeed, with a slim metal frame and Gorilla Glass 3 covering both sides.But, most surprisingly, that this smartphone has the feature of voice activated camera ,which is pretty impressive one.

DESIGN AND DISPLAY

For starters, the Z520 is a very light and very thin handset. It weighs just 110 grams, it is 9.7 millimeters thin, and fits nicely in the palm. Moreover, the texture on the back adds grip and resists fingerprints.

Acer Liquid Z520 with 5 inches display screen in diagonal.It is a rectangular-ish, plasticky smartphone with low-end specifications. On one hand, the Acer Liquid Z520 is not a beauty contest winner and it is also on the chubby side. But on the other, the phone has a good grip to it thanks to its textured back cover. Don’t hold your breath for the screen on this.It is fairly large, but its resolution is just 480 by 854 pixels, which is disappointing. We also noticed fingerprint smudge sticking to its surface rather easily.

The new device is the same shape as the previous, offering a curved rear which makes it a delight to hold but rather than the fingerprint-attracting glossy plastic of the Liquid Z520, the Liquid Z520 has opted for a new textured rear. It has a linen-type effect that not only provides a good grip but it keeps fingerprints at bay too. The front is made with Gorilla Glass 3, while the back is a textured plastic which we found quite attractive and easy to grip, and is available in black or white.

But in real life, it is clear to see that the panel isn’t of the best quality. Still, it gets the job done and should meet the needs of anyone who doesn’t expect excellent pixel density or color accuracy.

The docking connector is concentrated on its left side which includes System reset, Mini HDMI, 3.5mm microphone and headphone jack, Micro USB 2.0, microSD/SDHC/SDXC card slot, Standard size USB 3.0, Power jack, and the power button is on the right side of the phone.Also have DTS Studio Sound speakers, which the firm promises offer astonishing stereo sound.

PERFORMANCE

Acer Liquid Z520 chooses Mediatek 1.3 GHz 64-bit quad-core processor paired with 1GB RAM.The 480 by 854  resolution delivers a pixel density of 294ppi, which isn’t the sharpest in its class, but the viewing angles were fine but not good one.It features with the with only 8 GB on board internal storage but can expandable only upto 32 GB with micro SD slot which is not a far enough in this era and disappointing also.

Camera

Another point  is the camera,it uses thinnest module of 8-megapixel rear camera is fitted on the rear side of the gadget. 2-megapixel front camera with low quality of pixel resolution and low pixcel density.So this again a disaapointing feature of this new smartphone..
