Design and Display:
The Xiaomi Redmi Note features a 5.5-inch display with a 720×1280-pixel resolution with a pixel density of 440 ppi. While the other hand rival, The Asus Zenfone 5 features a 5-inch display with 720 x 1080-pixel resolution with the pixel density of 293 ppi. That means that both the gadgets have same screen size but not the same pixel density and the image resolution. Xiaomi Redmi Note has higher than its rival.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note gives you slightly more screen space, not only because it’s fractionally larger, but because the Asus Zenfone 5 has on-screen controls with a border in the bottom.
Processor:
The Xiaomi Redmi Note features a 1.7 GHz, ARM Cortex A15 octa core processor with a  2GB of RAM. While the Asus Zenfone 5 features a  2 GHz, Intel Atom Z2580 as well as 2 GB of RAM. Which means that the Asus Zenfone 5 phone has a faster processor than the Xiaomi Redmi Note. But the front camera is not an HD version but resembles a high quality camera and resolution.
On the second half, the Asus Zenfone 5  features a 8-megapixel sensor with fast 0.8 second capture speed. The Asus Zenfone 5  features a 2110mAh battery that will get you through the day. It also offers power saving features to match those of Asus Zenfone 5 . Both devices are a step above the previous generation, giving much better endurance.
Conclusion whether which one is the best:
The Xiaomi Redmi Note features a machined aluminium body that wraps around the sides making for a 90 per cent metal finish. There will be two colours available: black and coral white. It’s a triumph of design, it looks stunning and feels sensational to hold.
The Asus Zenfone 5  is mainly metallic, sticking to familiar design, but with a more tactile back for better grip. The big positives are that it is dustproof and resistant in liquid down to a metre in depth, and it’ll be available in different colors- green, blue, red, orange, white, black.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note feels like the slicker device in daily use. The user interface is faster and although it has less options and features, the interface feels more sophisticated and mature. It offers class-leading sound quality, a great display, but the real winner is the design. In the battle of these two giants, Xiaomi Redmi Note takes it, but only just.
The Asus Zenfone 5  offers a wider range of features and comes with great connectivity, a stunning display, plenty of power and a camera that performs well. However it feels like it could be faster in daily use and the unique features of the heart rate sensor and fingerprint scanner may well get turned off and ignored.
Price:
As per price, the Xiaomi Redmi Note is available at Rs 9,000 and the Asus Zenfone 5  is available in India at a price tag of 10,000 INR. The color variants are same for the devices.
