Samsung Galaxy S6 Active Specifications:- When Samsung finally revealed its Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge at the start of this month, everybody lump over the sleek and elegant looks of the new handsets  and this cannot be denied.However, many were annoyed by the omission of two features that have, more or less, become signature for Samsung through the years – a user replaceable battery and a microSD storage expansion slot.

Now, since Sammy has done so well in battery optimization with its previous flagships – the Note 4 and Galaxy S5 – and has added a couple of pretty effective power saving modes, we would feel  how safe to assume that less and less users feel the urge to carry a spare battery on them at all times.

Well, hardcore devotees of Sammy’s older style may want to wait just a little longer, as the Galaxy S6 Active may meet their needs a bit better, according to the following report. The ruggedized version of Sammy’s latest flagship will boast “similar” hardware under the hood, according to the report, and will come with an SD card slot. However, Active’s camera feature will be of a lower class than the one on the flagship model, but at least it may still have OIS. Additionally, the endurance model will not have a fingerprint scanner, and will lack a heartbeat sensor.

The Active’s battery may be removable, and it will see a return of the physical navigation buttons on the front. Supposedly, the phone is in final stages of development and should be launched some time mid-Summer.

We have to say we are a bit perplexed at Sammy omitting the heart-rate sensor from the Active version of its flagship. DESIGN AND DISPLAY

The device  features a 5.1-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display with 1440×2560 pixels resolution and 577 ppi pixel density and Gorilla Glass 4 protection the difference in its display is only due to both sides curves .The frame is made of aviation-grade alloy and features a stainless steel sheet with nano-molding plastic .In terms of dimensions, the Samsng Galaxy S6 Active measures 5.1 inch AMOLED display with 1080p resolution uses ACL technology which promises to reduce power usage by 25%.

The docking connector is concentrated on its left side which includes System reset, Mini HDMI, 3.5mm microphone and headphone jack, Micro USB 2.0, microSD/SDHC/SDXC card slot, Standard size USB 3.0, Power jack, and the power button is on the right side of the phone.

The backside of the phone is made with the thin metal cover, a rear camera with an LED flash and an  external battery compartment which is removable.

PERFORMANCE

Samsung Galaxy S6 Active is powered by a octa-core (quad-core 2.1GHz+ quad-core 1.5GHz) processor ( possibly Exynos) along with 3GB LPDDR4 RAM. S6 Duos runs on Android 5.0 lollipop out of the box. It feature a 14nm octa-core mobile processor with 64-bit capability. Galaxy S6 Active  will available in 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB storage variants without microSD card support. The company writes, “The world’s first 14nm mobile processor with 64-bit platform, new LPDDR4 memory system and UFS 2.0 flash memory provides higher performance and enhanced memory speed with lower power consumption”.Samsung proudly points to the “high computing performance” of the Exynos chipset inside the S6 Active  including 2.1 GHz Octa-Core processor which is one of the fastest processors out there for mobile devices.

CAMERA

Another point of proud is the camera,it uses thinnest module of 16-megapixel rear camera is fitted on the rear side of the tablet which has a full double HD with 1080×1920 pixels of image resolution. 5-megapixel front camera is also featured in the phone which is very good in selfies for our personnel use and it has an HD display which makes the images more sharper than the normal one.

CONNECTIVITY

The Samsung S6 Active is among the thinnest dual-SIM phones. It has the other connectivity features which are NFC functionality, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a built-in barcode reader which is useful for the product knowledge.For connectivity it includes C Category 6 LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 AC with HT80 MIMO, BluetoothLE, NFC, IR blaster.
