Xiaomi Mi3 vs Moto G(2014)

Design and Display:

The Xiaomi Mi3 features a 5-inch display with a 1920 x 1080-pixel resolution with a pixel density of 440 ppi. While the other hand rival, The Moto G features a 5-inch Super AMOLED 1920 x 1080-pixel resolution with the pixel density of 293 ppi. That means that both the gadgets have same screen size with the same pixel density and the image resolution.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 gives you slightly more screen space, not only because it’s fractionally larger, but because the HTC One has on-screen controls. Screen fiends might side with Samsung on this one.

Processor:

The Xiaomi Mi3 features a 1.8 GHz, ARM Cortex A15 with a  2GB of RAM. While the Moto G features a1.2 GHz, Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor as well as 1 GB of RAM. Which means that the Moto G phone has a slower processor than the Xiaomi Mi3. But the RAM options is more in the Xiaomi Mi3 but  the working is same which leads to a slight over lag in Moto G than Xiaomi.

Storage:

The Xiaomi Mi3Â features 16 GB of on-board ROM with an option of a 64 GB variant on board ROM too. But the phone is not supported with a external SDcard Slot.A 12 GB and 60 GB of free Google Drive space is also given along with the ROM options. While the Moto GÂ features 16GB on-board storage with microSD support for cards up to 64GB and 50GB of free cloud storage through Dropbox for 2 years.

Camera:

The Xiaomi Mi3Â features the same UltraPixel sensor (f/2.0 aperture) found in the original Xiaomi Redmi phones, although it’s a better all-round performer than before. It also has a Duo Camera for depth perception which means that there’s a range of fancy features on offer, and 2-megapixel (f/2.0 aperture) front-facing camera which is excellent for selfies. But the front camera is not an HD version.

On the second half, the Moto G features a 8.4-megapixel sensor with fast 0.8 second capture speed. The Moto G camera is also known for the best photography so the Moto G takes the lead in terms of camera. The Moto G smartphone can also capture Ultra HD video, something the Xiaomi mi3 is incapable of and there are a range of smart functions, including “selective focus” which produces similar to Xiaomi Redmi without the additional lens. This new added features lets you choose over Moto G.

Operating System:

The Xiaomi Mi3 features Android 4.4 KitKat and Sense 6.0. The Moto G features Android 4.4 KitKat and a new version of TouchWiz. Both have same operating systems but the Moto G has a bigger advantage of the Android 5.0 lollipop update. So the Moto G leads in operating system over Xiaomi Mi3.

Battery:

The Xiaomi Mi3Â features a 3050Â mAh battery that is supposedly 40 per cent more efficient than the first Xiaomi Redmi, which could last up to two days with even 3G services. However Xiaomi Mi3Â has added aggressive power saver options to make sure your device lasts the distance and it’s very impressive.

The Moto GÂ features a 2050mAh battery that will get you through the day. It also offers power saving features to match those of Moto G. Both devices are a step above the previous generation, giving much better endurance.

Conclusion whether which one is the best:

Xiaomi Mi3 vs Moto G(2014) comparison

The Xiaomi Mi3 features a machined aluminium body that wraps around the sides making for a 90 per cent metal finish. There will be two colours available: black and coral white. It’s a triumph of design, it looks stunning and feels sensational to hold.

The Moto GÂ is mainly plastic, sticking to familiar design, but with a more tactile back for better grip. The big positives are that it is dustproof and resistant in liquid down to a metre in depth, and it’ll be available in colours of-shimmery white and charcoal black.

The Xiaomi Mi3 feels like the slicker device in daily use. The user interface is faster and although it has less options and features, the interface feels more sophisticted and mature. It offers class-leading sound quality, a great display, but the real winner is the design. In the battle of these two giants, Xiaomi Mi3Â takes it, but only just.

The Moto GÂ offers a wider range of features and comes with great connectivity, a stunning display, plenty of power and a camera that performs well. However it feels like it could be faster in daily use and the unique features of the heart rate sensor and fingerprint scanner may well get turned off and ignored.

Price:

As per price, the Xiaomi Mi3Â is available at Rs 4,920 and the Moto GÂ is available in India at a price tag of 15,595Â INR. The colour variants are same for the devices.
