Samsung Galaxy Tab Active Specifications:- Samsung has announced its latest high end tablet named Samsung Galaxy Tab Active at the annual Samsung Forum event in Thailand on Monday. Its exact price details are available but it is expected to cost Rs. 52,000 in India. Anuj Jain, Senior Vice President, Enterprise Business, Samsung India Electronics said “Samsung is a market leader in mobile technologies and is committed to meeting evolving customer requirements for optimal performance and efficiency. Samsung’s latest innovation, Galaxy Tab Active is the first tablet built specifically for enterprise use. Galaxy Tab Active features business enhancing functionality and powerful technological capabilities allowing professionals to work without limitations in and out of the office”. The device is dust and water resistant with IP67 certification and it also comes with an anti-shock covering, which according to Samsung, can servive a 1.2 meter drop with the protective cover on. Samsung Galaxy Tab Active features 8-inch WXGA TFT LCD display and  1280×800 pixels resolutions. Its major disadvantage is is operating system it runs on android 4.4 kitkat out of the box. The device is powered by 1.2GHz quad-core processor under the hood combined with 1.5 GB of RAM which is its other demerit or disadvantage as 1.5 GB RAM is very low for such high price tablet. The tablet houses 16 GB internal storage which can be expended up to 64 GB via microSD card. It supports 3.1-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash, and a 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera fro video calling and selfie. It is backed by user-replaceable 4450mAh battery and for connectivity it includes NFC, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 3G, 4G LTE, wifi, microUSB. It measures 126.2×213.1×9.75mm and weighs 393 grams. It features Knox security feature and  its rugged cover comes with a slot to tuck in the S-Pen stylus, aimed at providing an alternate input method to professionals.
