After a wonderful last year Chinese smartphone Xiaomi  has stepped in 2015 with a bang. Xiaomi which is also known as Chinese Apple has launched mid range Phablet dubbed Xiami Mi Note. Xiaomi’s aim is to compete Samsung’s Galaxy Note and Apple’s iPhone 6 plus which are current hot favorite phablets in world. The new Xiaomi Note features a 2.5D glass at the front while the back features 3D glass for protection. Xiaomi has also launched Mi Note Pro which is little better then Mi Note.  Mi Note Pro’s specifications  and Xiaomi Mi Note Specifications are some what similar. Mi Note is  launched with tag line “The Bigger The Better”. In terms of design, it is similar in size to iPhone 6 Plus despite having a bigger screen. Its side are made up of metal and the rear panel is made of glass and also protected by Gorilla Glass 3. Chief executive Lei Jun said “The Mi Note is shorter, thinner and lighter than the iPhone”. Xiaomi Mi note features a a 5.7-inch Full HD display with 1080×1920 Pixel resolutio screen and 318 ppi pixel density  ,and for protection there is 2.5D Gorilla Glass 3 protection. a contrast ratio of 1400:1 and auto-adjusts dynamic contrast pixels. For the areas more exposed it reduces contrast, while for lower exposure it increases contrast. It also packs an anti-glare display. It runs on Android based MIUI operating system out of the box. Mi Note is powered by quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.5GHz alongside 3GB of RAM and Adreno 330 GPU. The device is available in two memory variants 16 GB and 64 GB but its major disadvantage is missing microSD card slot so you have to compromise with internal storage. Xiaomi Mi Note sports a 13-megapixel camera with six-element lens, OIS, a Sony CMOS sensor, and two-tone flash from Philips, whereas a 4-megapixel front camera with 2-micron pixels.

Mi Note is packed with 3,000mAh battery with Quick Charge 2.0 technology. It also sports a dedicated chip for audio (ESS ES9018K2M) and according to the company it sports “highest quality of audio on any phone”. It offers 24-bit/192KHz lossless playback support. For connectivity is supports 802.11 a, b, g, n, n 5GHz, ac, LTE, UMTS, EDGE, GPRS, USB 2.0. The device measures 155.1 x 77.6 x 6.95 mm and weighs 161 gm.

In India Xiaomi Mi Note is priced at Rs. 23,000 for 16 GB variant and Rs. 27,900  for 64 GB model.
