The R series is known for its sleek size latest Smartphone of R series which is R5  was claimed to be world slimmest Smartphone which measures at just 4.85 mm before its biggest rival Vivo announced its Vivo X5 Max is, beating the former handset by just 0.1 mm. Other then its thickness its major highlight  is the adoption of higher-strength stainless steel in place of the commonly used aluminum alloy to make its unique micro-arc frame. Oppo has created a special cooling element made from liquid-metal and phase-change materials to take heat away from the chipset. R5 is It is powered by a 64-bit, octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615(MSM8939) processor (2.1GHz quad-core + 1.5GHz quad-core)  combined with 2 GB RAM and  Adreno 405 GPU. It features 16 GB internal storage which can’t be extended and it is biggest disadvantage. It sports 13-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front facing camera. There is 2000 mAh battery and supports the VOOC rapid charging technology that is said to charge the battery  from  zero to 75 percent in just 30 minutes. For connectivity it includes Wi-Fi, Bluetooth,3G, GPRS/ EDGE, TD LTE, LTE FDD, and Micro-USB. Demerit of the phone is that there is no 3.5mm audio jack onboard so you have to use Micro-USB to 3.5mm audio jack adapter or wireless music accessories.

There is no microSD card slot so you have to settle with 16 GB internal storage plus missing 3.5 mm audio jack is main disadvantage. It camera is packed with some really good features.
